Spring is in the air in this lovely Dutch home

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">I love March, to me it's a sign that the long Scandinavian winter is coming to an end. And what better way to celebrate than with a Dutch home full of the joys of spring?! Photographed by <a href="http://www.margriethoekstra.nl/" target="_blank">Margriet Hoekstra</a>, this light-filled three-storey apartment in West Amsterdam is the result of a major renovation by Rick and Linsey. After a re-configuration, the pair furnished the space with fab industrial / vintage finds, modern units and plants and flowers in every room. What a perfect place which to kick off the week, don't you think?!<br /><br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCELnTg3fU0NCUeH9p3JqlItDJMt4MMudkk4qjdr8gl_dM4Y4MygpV_WXXKV9ifv-9ZkHykC8YJ8yDM9q-s-o74FXtVxGM0rxZDsr2z3SmHw4iv9tq9CW1A0cpFcDUg69xTo-xuvj5BjM/s1600/margriet4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCELnTg3fU0NCUeH9p3JqlItDJMt4MMudkk4qjdr8gl_dM4Y4MygpV_WXXKV9ifv-9ZkHykC8YJ8yDM9q-s-o74FXtVxGM0rxZDsr2z3SmHw4iv9tq9CW1A0cpFcDUg69xTo-xuvj5BjM/s1600/margriet4.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmlzmSJ5HTHw7vAd4Mz7J9FPZolIs8iFu7_FiYbatiztqUwh1v5AoOPk_zqpxGR-ClI2OBWoI4UJe6njU9O3v2apoI0wwTz7zamPWTytTbvM0HQrUPYTQ02eDI-ocF9Yr3KrXg-hc5O9I/s1600/margriet5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmlzmSJ5HTHw7vAd4Mz7J9FPZolIs8iFu7_FiYbatiztqUwh1v5AoOPk_zqpxGR-ClI2OBWoI4UJe6njU9O3v2apoI0wwTz7zamPWTytTbvM0HQrUPYTQ02eDI-ocF9Yr3KrXg-hc5O9I/s1600/margriet5.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4pmWLTnWAbyJqkRWXYUz_N_XY2FSdhfZbXXQ7AzHUHyduRpmWJCnPFOMNk8c_O-C4aGRuOWho8yKr9F05UjNvwwwy5uLJVTbRPuSWhyJxlcgJrATpuqqhlRIin-NHl88m33g2PbrYs_k/s1600/margriet6.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4pmWLTnWAbyJqkRWXYUz_N_XY2FSdhfZbXXQ7AzHUHyduRpmWJCnPFOMNk8c_O-C4aGRuOWho8yKr9F05UjNvwwwy5uLJVTbRPuSWhyJxlcgJrATpuqqhlRIin-NHl88m33g2PbrYs_k/s1600/margriet6.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgK_OIVGjw4xGGCb4RYnYC52tl64hko4lnm2V62VBNo5G2HrHfEAiOLq8UmmPlmzdeI22PNoe9ctTftzNQlB43L_ElS0ypHHMC6l5ubCK8pkoQjf41GCWxcu4fPi8W7g1ZttqQzF-Coz50/s1600/Margriet7.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgK_OIVGjw4xGGCb4RYnYC52tl64hko4lnm2V62VBNo5G2HrHfEAiOLq8UmmPlmzdeI22PNoe9ctTftzNQlB43L_ElS0ypHHMC6l5ubCK8pkoQjf41GCWxcu4fPi8W7g1ZttqQzF-Coz50/s1600/Margriet7.jpg" /> </a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuDa-pMA8DR7pWO-eA5CWx2lxJ-RSKx4R2AB0GKg2rkL5ez5NeauAYud1lF8WKWRPIAKJLv_BGtnnVa2YKuiS7c9xdo-JGRPB2PRavph6PLybi1UQB4DLrSLJoAFGzBXNNvmdQOfEMpqw/s1600/Margriet1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuDa-pMA8DR7pWO-eA5CWx2lxJ-RSKx4R2AB0GKg2rkL5ez5NeauAYud1lF8WKWRPIAKJLv_BGtnnVa2YKuiS7c9xdo-JGRPB2PRavph6PLybi1UQB4DLrSLJoAFGzBXNNvmdQOfEMpqw/s1600/Margriet1.jpg" /></a></div><br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9nOmkLVIaDL6K75T-SYlWcN3E8z3dB-RHLoqNsjhDNzyxk51APjwWSpyofX9L0LK2CHr6-VPje80cEn_WNmKlMMFZa6OPeUgdSdxBSnBaz3nS4glD1IisTNsnfD25VQMa0h79EIK3ijU/s1600/Margriet3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9nOmkLVIaDL6K75T-SYlWcN3E8z3dB-RHLoqNsjhDNzyxk51APjwWSpyofX9L0LK2CHr6-VPje80cEn_WNmKlMMFZa6OPeUgdSdxBSnBaz3nS4glD1IisTNsnfD25VQMa0h79EIK3ijU/s1600/Margriet3.jpg" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.vtwonen.nl/binnenkijken/vtwonen-binnenkijkers/drie-verdiepingen-appartement-in-amsterdam-west/" target="_blank">VT Wonen</a>. The stunning Bavarian home of a photographer

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">You know when homes have a friend's name written all over them? This incredible space found over at <a href="http://www.vosgesparis.com/2015/02/an-industrial-home-with-authentic.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Vosges Paris </a> <i>was made </i>for my sister, Cas! She loves vintage pieces (cinema seats, step ladders, tables), art photography and industrial lighting.  But the home of German photographer <a href="http://wertvollfotografie.de/" target="_blank">Petra Reger </a>and her family in Kompton, Bavaria is oh so much more too. Petra's home decorating style is part industrial, part vintage, part designer, part rock 'n' roll. Throw in the beautiful bones of the apartment including the original plaster wall in the kitchen and 100 year old parquet flooring and the result is an incredibly striking and unique home fit for a creative. How cool is this space?<br /><br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5s7OYqIlY7p6NvORQlQLcIlPx2R1D3DAu15PiuN6afxM2IQnvzCJqi0SkgUCMRTmCJrvQmZ7yjhdhq5RMheEQyhLZG-VP34_ZtXQBo0CSDaNIad0EavPnzifO0KjSxYX9jOhVip9CoMnY/s1600/petra2.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; A Swedish home with a relaxed, boho vibe

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">We often see homes packed with designer pieces, and although beautiful, they're not always achievable.  I therefore love homes designed on a shoestring budget using creativity, patience (to find the right items as they come up) and a sense of fun. The truly personal family home of ceramicist, designer and stylist <a href="http://fabkeramik.blogspot.se/" target="_blank">Frida Anthin Broberg</a>, Sebastien Broberg and their children Jack (6) and Bill (5) situated in Rönne, Sweden is a perfect example of this. Frida and Sebastien believe 'an interior should be fueled by desire rather than aesthetics' and their space pays homage to this. Teeming with vintage finds and bold splashes of colour, this lovely relaxed, boho living space is perfect inspiration for decorating without a big budget, don't you think?<br /><br /><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #333333; A relaxed and eclectic Stockholm space

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">'A pop of colour here and a vintage vibe there' is the best way to describe this very cool and relaxed apartment in Stockholm captured by <a href="http://www.fantasticfrank.se/" target="_blank">Fantastic Frank</a>. I like the casual way the books have been stacked on the kitchen floor, the striking yellow <a href="http://www.nest.co.uk/browse/product-type/lighting/pendant-lights/muuto-mhy-pendant-light" target="_blank">Mhy</a> light, the decadent velvet armchair and the picture gallery wall. They're relatively difficult to find but I love the ones sold by <a href="http://threepotatofour.com/collections/ace-finds/products/vintage-portrait-no-5" target="_blank">Three Potato Four</a> and also the cool animal portraits by <a href="http://www.oldipaintings.com/" target="_blank">Oldi</a> (I have the <a href="http://www.oldiart.com/1783422-2014#6" target="_blank">Lurcher </a>one which has become a family favourite!). And antique chairs in velvet - how decadent to place a grand armchair in the kitchen - love it! I love books and feel the space looks disturbingly void of reading material, don't you? This Christmas I'll be pouring over my Pinterest <a href="http://www.pinterest.com/nikiatmsh/storage/" target="_blank">storage board</a> for ideas. One possibility is<a href="http://www.string.se/" target="_blank"> String </a>shelves (I love the latest <a href="http://emmas.blogg.se/2014/december/new-string-photos-by-lotta-agaton.html" target="_blank">inspirational images</a> they've released) and think they'll fit perfectly with my mid-century style. What do you think?<br /><br />Lastly - today is a big day for me, it's the last day at my corporate job after 14 years in the industry! As of 1st Jaunary I'll be focusing full time on this blog - it's grown so much thanks to you all that I feel it's time to give it the attention it so deserves. Scary and exciting in equal measure! Here's to new and exciting adventures! And thank you all for your wonderful, ongoing encouragement and support.<br /><br />Have a great day!<br /><br />PS If it was Christmas decorating ideas you were after you can always check out my <a href="http://www.myscandinavianhome.blogspot.se/search/label/Christmas" target="_blank">Christmas archive</a> with a lorry load of decorating tips, DIY ideas and lovely scandinavian festive home tours. The unique and fabulous home of a Swedish stylist

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">Hello! I hope you're having a great start to the week?! Mine just got a whole lot better after discovering the home of Swedish stylist <a href="http://harvestagency.se/stylists/marie-olsson-nylander/" target="_blank">Marie Olsson Nylander</a> and her family which is currently <a href="http://valvet.capitex.se/bilder.aspx?TYP=CMVilla&GUID=4AL30M1L4GSM6MQL" target="_blank">for sale</a> (I know, <i>hurry</i>!). Situated in Höganäs, a small town in Skåne, Sweden not far from where my parents-in-law live, Marie's home is teeming with unique finds and blends morroccan, industrial, vintage and rustic styles for an entirely unique look. This isn't the first time I've admired Marie's work, her <a href="http://www.myscandinavianhome.blogspot.se/2012/10/dear-man-can-we-move-please.html" target="_blank">previous home</a> in Arild is one of the most popular homes ever to be featured on my sandinavian home. A cool vintage inspired space in Stockholm

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">There's something strange...in the neighbourhood. Well actually, just on this blog. The night fairy (aka Ana at <a href="http://www.blogmilkshop.com/" target="_blank">Blog Milk</a>) has been in while we were asleep and moved things around a little. Even I got a shock this morning and I was the one that instigated it! Do you think you can get used to the change? I hope so! Something that's not strange though is this fantastic <a href="http://objekt.fastighetsbyran.se/?objektGID=OBJ1440_1340486690&source=hemnet&images=1" target="_blank">apartment</a> in Stockholm. The open plan living area with it's array of vintage items is incredibly cool. I love the graphical style and mix of light grey and wood.  How about you?<br /><br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQwG99xMXtj5HCPR1A7sRh9EQF7I7imd9O6To-aVqN7s_H0cCbEsx8E6e5fvS_x25d97dZTAW_wavoZ2_7C7KPM1AMLYCXKHUoChXsah0JJmKVd-rWlZtZogFQOAETrAsipzZJi1s6m6jF/s1600/st3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; A Norwegian space with a boho / rustic touch

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">Morning! I hope you had a great weekend?! Southern Sweden is basking in sunshine right now, it's been so wonderful to be outside from dawn to dusk! I thought I'd kick off the week with the lovely rustic home of interior stylist / photographer Line from <a href="http://vintagepiken.blogspot.se/" target="_blank">Vintagepiken</a>. I have shown a few pics of this beautiful Norwegian boho space <a href="http://www.myscandinavianhome.blogspot.se/2013/09/boho-norwegian-style.html" target="_blank">before</a> and now it's been updated with a set of the oh so fab <a href="http://www.artilleriet.se/shop/belysning/#mark-eden-schooley-lamp" target="_blank">Schooley lights</a> over the dining table and textiles (on table and floor) from <a href="http://www.private0204.com/" target="_blank">Private 0204</a>.
